Governance (Partnership Board)
The Sure Start Palfrey Children’s Centre Partnership Board is the decision-making body of the Children’s Centre. Reflecting the Children’s Centre’s reach area, the Partnership Board is made up of representatives from statutory and community organisations and well as service users. The Board meets regularly throughout the year and aims to oversee the management of the Children’s Centre and its services.
The Children’s Centre provide regular updates to Partnership Board about user feedback obtained through consultations. This enables the Partnership Board to scrutinise the quality of services delivered and hold the Centre Manager to account.
Ofsted have acknowledged the effectiveness of the Partnership Board in holding the Children’s Centre to account:
“The Partnership Board holds the centre to account extremely well by championing the needs of the community and ensuring services are effective”
