Supporting families with 0-19s South Walsall
Change Grow Live in Walsall now deliver, in partnership, services for families with 0-19s. Our services aim to support parents / carers and to enable children to flourish at home and to thrive when they start school. The Children’s Centre programme is based on the concept that providing integrated education with childcare, family support and health services are key factors in achieving good outcomes for children and parents.
A range of activities and services are on offer at access points in the community including:
- 0-19 Early Help / Family Support Provision
- Parenting Programmes
- PEEPS / Targeted Stay and Play Sessions
- Oral / Dental Hygiene
- Employment and Training Advice
- Antenatal Parent Education Classes
- Health Interventions(e.g. smoking cessation, healthy eating, breastfeeding support, toilet training, Healthy Start Vitamins)
- Speech and Language Support
- Baby Clinic
- Weekend and School Holiday Activities
- Trips and Outings
Who can use the Children’s Centre?
You can register with our Sure Start Family Hub to access the support and activities on offer if you have a child aged 0-19 years and live in South or Central Walsall (Town Centre, Pleck, Alumwell, Palfrey, Caldmore, Delves, Chuckery, Paddock, The Butts and Park Hall)
One Palfrey Big Local.
We are pleased to support One Palfrey Big Local. Our lead organisation Palfrey Community Association, has been appointed to be the Locally Trusted Organisation (LTO) for One Palfrey Big Local.
Palfrey Community Association will be responsible for administering the funding from Local Trust, entering into contracts and grant agreements on behalf of One Palfrey Big Local and reporting to Local Trust on progress.
Alongside this, Sure Start Palfrey Children’s Centre will be hosting and providing management support for the One Palfrey Big Local Coordinator.
